Selling Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms explain how ReTackl Limited purchases second-hand fishing tackle from customers. Please read them before accepting an offer.
1. About ReRigd
ReTackl Limited ("ReTackl", "ReRigd", "we", "us" or "our") purchases second-hand fishing tackle from individuals aged 18 or over.
Submitting an enquiry does not oblige you to sell your tackle or ReRigd to make an offer.
2. Seller Responsibilities
By offering tackle for sale, you confirm that:
-
You are at least 18 years old.
-
You legally own the items or have authority to sell them.
-
The items are not stolen, counterfeit or subject to outstanding finance or ownership disputes.
-
Your descriptions and photographs accurately represent the items.
-
You have disclosed all known faults, damage, repairs and missing components.
-
You will provide accurate information about the approximate dimensions and weight of any packaged items when requested, so that ReRigd can arrange a suitable delivery service.
-
You are responsible for securely packaging items in accordance with the packaging instructions and requirements of the delivery service arranged by ReRigd. You must notify ReRigd before dispatch if the parcel dimensions, weight or contents differ from those previously agreed.
ReRigd may request reasonable proof of identity or ownership and may refuse items where concerns remain.
3. Offers and Validity
ReRigd assesses the information and photographs submitted through our selling form.
We may provide a Standard ReRigd Offer and a ReRigdGuaranteed Offer.
Offers are valid for up to 14 calendar days from the date of our offer email, unless otherwise stated.
Once accepted, an offer will be honoured during the agreed delivery period, subject to inspection and the conditions below. We will not reduce an accepted offer simply because market prices or our stock requirements change.
4. Standard ReRigd Offer
Our Standard ReRigd Offer represents the price we are prepared to pay based on the information provided.
The final price is subject to inspection and confirmation that the tackle matches its description.
Where an item materially differs from its description, ReRigd may revise or withdraw its offer.
5. ReRigdGuaranteed Offer
ReRigdGuaranteed provides greater price certainty in exchange for a typically lower offer.
The price is calculated individually for each enquiry, taking account of the tackle's condition, value and resale risk.
Once agreed, the ReRigdGuaranteed price will not be reduced solely because of reasonable differences in cosmetic condition or normal wear and tear.
However, the guarantee does not cover:
-
Broken or non-functional items, unless their faults were disclosed and specifically accepted.
-
Undisclosed mechanical or functional faults.
-
Significant undisclosed damage.
-
Materially inaccurate or misleading descriptions.
-
Items substantially different from those originally offered.
Where these exclusions apply, ReRigd may revise or withdraw its offer.
ReRigdGuaranteed is a conditional price guarantee, not an unconditional commitment to purchase items regardless of condition.
6. Accepting an Offer
Offers are communicated by email.
Customers must confirm their chosen offer by email before proceeding.
Following acceptance, ReRigd will request the seller's bank details and arrange a suitable method of transferring the tackle, including delivery or an agreed collection or handover.
Tackle must reach ReRigd within 14 calendar days of acceptance unless a later date has been agreed.
7. Getting Your Tackle to ReRigd
Standard Parcel Delivery
For items suitable for standard parcel delivery, ReRigd will arrange and pay for a suitable delivery service, normally using InPost or Evri.
ReRigd will select the appropriate service based on the item's estimated packaged dimensions, weight, value and the delivery provider's requirements.
Once arrangements are confirmed, ReRigd will provide the seller with the necessary shipping instructions and any applicable printable label or QR code.
The seller is responsible for securely packaging the items in accordance with our instructions and the delivery provider's requirements, and taking the parcel to the agreed drop-off location.
The seller must notify ReRigd before dispatch if the parcel's dimensions, weight or contents differ from those previously agreed. Any changes may require alternative delivery arrangements.
Sellers must not dispatch items until ReRigd has confirmed the delivery arrangements.
Larger or Bulky Items
For items unsuitable for standard parcel delivery, including certain fishing rods and other oversized equipment, ReRigd will agree alternative arrangements with the seller.
We can usually arrange collection or handover within approximately 60 miles of our base in the NG9 postcode area, subject to availability and agreement.
Sellers located further away may travel to an agreed handover location at their own expense, or discuss other suitable arrangements with ReRigd.
All collections and handovers must be agreed in advance.
Delivery Responsibility
ReRigd will arrange and pay for the agreed standard parcel delivery service. Sellers remain responsible for providing accurate parcel information and packaging items securely.
Responsibility for loss or damage during transit will be assessed in accordance with applicable law, the agreed delivery arrangements and the circumstances of the loss or damage.
ReRigd will assist with any necessary enquiries or claims involving a delivery service it has arranged.
8. Inspection
All tackle is inspected before payment.
We aim to complete inspections within 3 working days of receipt, wherever reasonably possible.
Inspection may include checking condition, functionality, damage, missing components and accuracy of the original description.
ReRigdGuaranteed protections will be applied where appropriate.
If inspection is delayed, we will endeavour to keep the seller informed.
9. Revised or Withdrawn Offers
If tackle materially differs from its description or falls outside the agreed ReRigdGuaranteed allowances, we may:
-
Make a revised offer, which could be significantly lower.
-
Withdraw the offer entirely if the item is unsuitable or commercially unviable for resale.
Customers will be informed of our findings and given 7 calendar days to accept or decline a revised offer.
We will send a reminder if no response is received. After the response period, we may withdraw the revised offer and begin the return process.
For multiple items, ReRigd may accept satisfactory items while revising or declining others.
Where an offer covers an entire bundle, material discrepancies may require reassessment of the overall price, subject to ReRigdGuaranteed protections.
10. Returning Rejected Tackle
Where an offer is revised or withdrawn because of materially inaccurate descriptions, undisclosed damage, faults or other significant discrepancies outside the agreed allowances, the seller will be responsible for reasonable return costs.
This includes items originally delivered to ReRigd using a delivery service arranged and paid for by ReRigd, or collected by ReRigd.
Where items were accurately described but ReRigd decides not to proceed for its own commercial reasons, ReRigdwill arrange and pay for reasonable return costs.
Where a return is necessary, ReRigd will discuss suitable arrangements with the seller, taking into account the size, weight and nature of the items.
ReRigd will take reasonable care of items in its possession while return arrangements are being made.
11. Unclaimed Tackle
Where tackle needs to be returned, ReRigd will contact the seller in writing.
Sellers have 30 calendar days from our first written return request to respond and make suitable arrangements.
At least one written reminder will be issued during this period.
If items remain unclaimed, ReRigd may take further action only in accordance with applicable law, including issuing any required formal notices.
The expiry of 30 days does not automatically transfer ownership to ReRigd or authorise disposal.
12. Payment
Payment is made by bank transfer to a UK bank account in the seller's name, unless otherwise expressly agreed following appropriate verification.
Where tackle passes inspection, payment will be made within 2 working days, provided valid bank details have been supplied.
Where a revised offer is accepted, the payment period begins following that acceptance and receipt of valid payment details.
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays in England and Wales.
13. Ownership
Ownership of tackle transfers to ReRigd only after successful inspection and completion of payment of the agreed purchase price.
Simply posting, delivering or handing over tackle does not transfer ownership.
ReRigd will take reasonable care of items in its possession. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Cancellation
Sellers may withdraw from an agreed sale before their tackle has been dispatched or handed over to ReRigd by notifying us in writing.
Where ReRigd has already arranged delivery, we will attempt to cancel the booking and recover any applicable delivery charges. Sellers will not normally be charged for delivery bookings cancelled before dispatch.
Once items have been dispatched or handed over to ReRigd, any request to cancel must be discussed and agreed with us. Any return arrangements and associated costs will be confirmed with the seller before proceeding, subject to applicable law.
Once inspection has been completed, payment made and ownership transferred to ReRigd, the sale is considered complete, subject to any applicable legal rights.
ReRigd reserves the right to decline items including:
-
Broken or non-functional equipment.
-
Counterfeit or suspected stolen goods.
-
Equipment with significant corrosion or damage.
-
Unsafe items.
-
Items with insufficient resale value.
